Boyfriend and I went cross country skiing in Waterton this Friday. We were both nervous because we had never done it before and thought it would be hard but it was EASY! And so much fun. You can rent the equipment from the Waterton Lakes Lodge for only $15 for the day. We went for two hours to Cameron Lake and back and when I did the calorie burn assessment calendar I burned 1,700 calories! WAHOO!!!! I am definitely investing in a pair for next winter.
I was talking to my favourite fitness instructor at the gym, an amazingly fit mother of two, about how frustrated I was with all this working out and no weight loss. She suggested I buy a fitness magazine and follow one of their week-long super strict diet plans. She said it’s hard but she dropped 6 pounds in two weeks and that would help get my body started. So I went out and bought Fitness RX, a magazine I used to buy when I was a track athlete and had a six pack without even trying all that hard. Oh to be 18! Anyway, starting Saturday, I will be restricting my diet to 1,700- 1,900 calories. So we’ll see how I do and I’ll try to record my meals on this blog for anyone else who is so inclined.
