Yesterday was my first official day of the 6 weeks I have to drop some major fat before Hawaii. Now this is NOT all just about vanity, I want to be in shape so I can enjoy surfing and that takes a lot of strength and cardio to do!
This is my 6 week plan:
- Workout at least 2 hours a day!
- Workout 6 days a week (Sundays are active rest days where I at least go for a walk or to the driving range or something)
- Eat a veggie-based diet & cut out meat to 3 or 4 helpings MAX a week
Yesterday I did 50 minutes of power walking around the YMCA track that is so conveniently located 2 blocks from my office. After work I headed to the gym (Goodlife Fitness Women- An all womens gym) for an hour long cardio dance class (it kicked my butt) followed by weights that focused on both upper and lower body. The only thing I skipped out on was abs, but after 2 hours and 10 minutes of working out that day, I was bushed!
I found a bunch of easy and healthy vegetarian recipes so for dinner I had a black bean quesadilla (yes cheese is fattening but it’s better than my usual taco or burger!) And lunch today was a vegetarian wrap with sundried tomatoes, avacado, sprouts and balsamic vinagrette. It was pretty good, but needed some crunch, so tomorrow I will add cucumber.
Hopefully I can keep this up, I HAVE to keep this up!
